Production Notes
David Joray and I pulled this film together in three days for my first (and last) film class. I wanted to make a DV film look like… well, film and by shooting in the early morning hours on the morning of the first major snowfall in 2002 we got a nice product. Because the photography was most important and the timeline so short, we hammered out a script the night before shooting only after we found Eryk’s fantastic poem on the Internet. It was a scramble to get all the permits but we were able to get them!
Anne, Aaron and Andrew (funny how that worked out) jumped in and worked with us on the fly. Nobody had acting experience. This was a quintessential “shoot what you got” film and we all ended up pretty happy with it.
