About is a collective of information technology professionals dedicated to the support of social missions and the organizations working to solve them. Our partners include consultants, designers, developers and technology firms managed by core partners Frank and Karoline Neville-Hamilton.

Our core expertise is in strategy, design and user-centric development.

Frank Neville-Hamilton

Frank has over 15 years experience in strategy, design and development, working primarily with social mission organizations and technology startups to help them refine their strategic goals into real-world applications. His approach emphasizes the user experience and is informed by broad study in information design and hands-on experience building technology applications.

Some of his engagements have included WAMU 88.5 FM, AARP and the WorldBank. A believer in the principle that all things are connected, Frank’s work is an extension of an eclectic life experience that encompasses university study in architecture and creative writing, a number of diverse professional work experiences from sea kayak guide to database development and personal pursuits such as rock climbing and yoga.

Karoline Neville-Hamilton

Karoline has over 15 years managing the creative process of building products in support of social missions. From directing client services for Grassroots Enterprises (now Edelman) and leading a team of technical project managers for CTSG (now Blackbaud) to directing product management for YouthNoise – the top social-networking site for socially conscious youth – Karoline has built a practice of refining organizational strategic goals across diverse working groups to implement creative solutions that fulfill the needs of the end-user, the organization and the teams she works with.

Some of her client engagements have included Amnesty International USA, the United Nations Millennium Campaign and Nike’s corporate responsibility program. To balance her work on the web, Karoline is also a yoga teacher and therapist.

Geoff Weeks

Geoff has been collaborating on digital projects since 1999, wearing many hats over the years, from designer, to programmer, to project manager. Ultimately, he settled into the role he plays today, helping companies, arts and cultural institutions, and NGOs to see their content from their audience’s point of view. Navigation, page layouts, prototypes: all these things work together to become a blueprint for a project, and with the user always in our minds, a successful one.

When he’s feeling too obsessed with the exact wording of a button, Geoff takes a break to post a minimalist photo on Instagram, or picks up his violin and plays some old-time fiddle tunes.
